I've personally carried some two hundred rounds of pistol ammunition (in a backpack on a motorcycle going to an outdoor shooting range), yet in the game I can only carry maybe six dozen rounds of assorted ammo for 6 firearms. Of course it's even more ludicrous that you can actually carry six firearms (and a bow and a flamethrower and a melee weapon) all at the same time. You would at least think you could farm out your spare ammo/molotovs/medkits to Ellie or Dina or Tess.
