Removing windows 10 backup settings

Windows 21H1 I no longer use the windows backup but cannot find a way to delete the settings completely. I have turned off file sharing but there seems no way to stop it connecting to the drive i originally used. I do not want to change the drive letter of the drive unless i really have to. Thanks for any help John
