Remote Windows 11 users timing out on smb shares

I have 3 Windows 11 users that can connect to their SMB shares when connected on the same local area network. When they are remote they time out. I have at least 1 Windows 11 PC and also several Windows 10 systems and 1 MAC that do not have this problem. I had 2 identical machines side by side, one worked the other didn't. There has to be a setting that is causing the problem.

Is there a timeout value or remote security setting I am missing.
