My PC screen freezes for a few seconds, and then i hear a whirring sound but it then unfreezes.

Since about 4-5 months ago, when I use my pc every now and again, my screen freezes and the audio cuts, but then from my PC I hear a whirring sound, like something starting up spinning again. It keeps on happening but hasn't been impacting too much, since its only a few seconds, just frustrating.I've got an Intel i7-9700F and a NVIDIA GTX 1650. 256GB of SSD and two SATA's with 1TB and 4TB respectively. I got the new 4TB drive a few moths ago, around the time the freezing started, but...
