I can only access google on my laptop

Just got sky internet, and I've not used my laptop for a good 4 years (last time I used it it worked fine)
It connects to the router just fine, and I can search on Google and just https sites.
After searching the internet trying to find an answer and updating the laptop, nothing is working
Is there any suggestions as to what I can do?

Its Vista home basic, 32 bit
