hos to fix Wifi connection?

Hi i opened my laptop to see that i wasnt connected to the wifi. i checked the shortcut page at the bottom right to see that the wifi option is gone. i checked my settings and it doesnt allow me to pick any wifi connections, only ethernet.i have an acer aspire 5
