Can IIS refuse to serve a domain?

I run a website from home under IIS using my own domain name (myDomain).
I've got a dynamic ip address, which changed yesterday. I updated the dns records accordingly: two A-records, one for myDomain, one for www.myDomain.
Now, the site comes up fine for www.myDomain but myDomain produces a timeout!
What could possibly be the cause of this behaviour?
