BIOS update not working on ASRock B850I Lightning ?

I have a Asrock B850i motherboard with bios version 3.15. I’m trying to update it following the instructions in the manual. I’ve renamed the rom file PSPBIOS.IMG and placed the BIOSUBU.BIN with is on the drive. When I try to use the flash button nothing happens. There is no LED like the manual says for a start, which makes me wonder if the manual is correct.

I’ve tried using the instant flash in the bios but all it says is “no image file” (even though there is).

I’ve flashed plenty of motherboards, this is the only time I haven’t been able to. I think the manual is wrong.

Does anyone know how to flash the bios on this motherboard?
