So I got a 5060ti 16gb from Microcenter and have until June 1 to return it. Was thinking of keeping it, but I’ve been playing a lot of Red Dead Redemption 2 lately and starting to get artifacts in cut scenes. A lot of times normal gameplay is fine. But I’m considering the idea to return it and either get another 5060ti 16gb, though I’ve considered biting the bullet to get a 9070 or 9070xt. If I decide to go nvidia what are the thoughts on the 5070 while I’m there? Is there vram a big thing for 1440p?
I’ve used quite a few amd gpus in the past but I got the 5060ti 16gb for 471 with tax and they have some 5070s for about 600 whereas the 9070s are closer to 700.
Thoughts? Or what’s the best stress test to test out the card I currently have? Though at the time I purchased the 5060ti, I didn’t get their 2 year warranty but I’m thinking I would purchase that if I go new card. Will probably go over on Monday. Just looking for opinions or feedback. Thanks
